The Lost Voice (La Voz Perdida, 11 min.) was selected - from more than 1300 entries - to compete at the 2016 Venice Film Festival. It won the 'Orizzonti Award' for Best Short Film. The docufiction work is based on an original interview about the Curuguaty massacre ocurred in Paraguay in 2012
'It was 3am when we woke up to spend a few hours before dawn, sharing the traditional 'mate' with Ña Mela, in Curuguaty. It was still dark. We decided to avoid the camera and only use sound equipment to record her voice and her silences.' Marcelo Martinessi, director.
